Do you remember as a kid all those moments you let your imagination run wild? In your mind, the unseen figures like imaginary friends and supernatural monsters would come to life. As a kid, there were so many stories to discover just by playing around the house or in your backyard, and that’s what the third story ‘Fishin’ with Grandma Matchie’ is about.

Steven Erikson brings you back into the world of a child, one child alongside his grandma that sees things and goes on adventures. It’s amazing how Grandma Matchie becomes his best friend when they see evil arise and have to work together to stop it. From trekking in the forest to travelling across the seas, Grandma Matchie and Jock Junior come to face many challenges their enemies throw at them. With Grandma Matchie’s fearlessness and Jock Junior’s innovation, will evil be defeated and peace be restored amongst their hometown?

Guess you’ll have to read it to find out more about their adventures. And that’s what I liked about this story was the mini-adventures these two characters embarked upon. It was great to imagine myself a child again through Junior Jock. The way he imagined everything around him (maybe it was real) as everything came to life compelled me to keep on reading. It fitted perfectly as a short story, ending where it should, however when reading I felt like it was a longer story. And that’s how adventures should be; long, exciting and full of suspense.

So if you are the type of person who loves going on adventures, you will love reading this story. Sometimes we all need to re-live those moments as a child and escape within our own adventure. Start exploring now.
